The Battle of Bennington Monument

I took this photo while driving back from New Jersey after visiting some friends for the weekend. My tripod has gotten far less attention than need be lately.

If you've never been to the Saint Gaudens National Historic Site in Cornish, N.H., you should check it out. It's a great place to spend a beautiful fall afternoon.

I took these in Quechee and Woodstock, Vt. a few years ago. I'm lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

Discoveries

My cousin found a pond on a map. These are things we discovered while en route to that pond in Springfield, NH.

A glass jar with mystery liquid.

A slug.

We ate it, though the question remains as to what this actually is.

There were tons of spider webs along the way.

Some sort of mushroom we did not eat.

Birthday Steak

Granted my birthday was in August but I came across this photo and it brought me right back. I was treated to this sandwich at The Tip Top Cafe in White River Junction, Vt. I highly recommend you eat there.
